Clear, reliable calls on a properly engineered phone system

Choppy audio, dropped calls and one-way sound usually originate in the network, not the handsets. Without packet-level evidence, the cause is hard to isolate, and the problem persists.

What we configure, and what it prevents

What we configureWhat it prevents
Voice prioritization on the network (QoS)Calls breaking up during large uploads or backups.
A dedicated voice network (voice VLAN)Phones competing with computers for bandwidth.
SIP trunks configured and testedDropped calls, one-way audio and failed transfers.
Call-quality analysis with packet capturesRecurring call problems with no identified cause.
A planned migration to a new phone systemLost numbers and missed calls during the cutover.

What’s included

  • Phone systems: deployment and ongoing changes
  • SIP trunks: configuration and testing
  • Voice quality: QoS on the network (LLQ, DSCP EF)
  • Troubleshooting: choppy audio, dropped calls and one-way audio
  • Migration: moves to a new system, including number transfers
  • Platforms: hands-on experience with Cisco CME, CUCM and CUE

How it’s delivered

  1. We measure how your network handles voice today and locate where calls degrade.
  2. We configure voice QoS and a dedicated voice network where needed.
  3. For a new system, we plan the migration with your provider and test calls before cutover.
  4. We maintain call quality as part of ongoing support and trace any new issue to its cause.

Frequently asked questions

Why do our calls break up?
Most often the network treats voice like any other traffic, so a large download or backup crowds it out. Voice prioritization (QoS) resolves much of this. Sometimes the cause is the provider or the internet link; packet captures show which.
Can you move us to a new phone system?
Yes. We help you select a system, plan the migration and the transfer of your numbers with your provider, configure the phones and test calls before cutover.
Which phone providers do you work with?
We work with the provider you choose, or help you compare options. Our hands-on experience includes Cisco phone systems (CME, CUCM and CUE) and SIP trunking.
Can we keep our current phones?
Often, yes, if the new system supports them. We check your models before you decide, so you know what can stay and what needs replacing.
