A hardened firewall, with a rule set you can understand
Many firewalls carry years of rules no one can explain. Old openings remain, remote access was configured in a hurry, and the logs are never reviewed.
What we configure, and what it prevents
| What we configure | What it prevents |
|---|---|
| New firewall deployed with a documented rule set | Default settings and open ports left by the installer. |
| Rule review and clean-up | Unused openings that admit traffic nobody needs. |
| Secure remote access (IPsec and SSL VPN) | Remote desktop exposed directly to the internet. |
| Platform migration, rule by rule | Lost rules and broken access after a firewall replacement. |
| Logging and alerts routed for review | Attacks and failures hidden in logs nobody reads. |
| Firmware and security updates | Known firewall vulnerabilities left open to attackers. |

How it’s delivered
- We export and analyze your current rules, so the purpose of each one is known.
- We design a cleaner, hardened rule set and review every change with you.
- We deploy or migrate in a planned window and validate key services before closing the change.
- We keep the firewall patched and review its rules as part of ongoing support.
Frequently asked questions
- Which firewall platform should we choose?
- It depends on your size, your budget and what you already run. We have hands-on experience with FortiGate, Cisco Firepower and Check Point, and we recommend the platform that fits your environment rather than one brand for every client.
- Can you migrate us from one firewall platform to another?
- Yes. We translate the rules one by one, remove those you no longer need, and test remote access, email and key applications after the cutover.
- Is a firewall enough to keep us secure?
- No. A firewall is one layer of defence. Patching, multi-factor sign-in, backups and staff awareness matter just as much. Our cybersecurity service covers those layers.
- We already have a firewall. Can you review it?
- Yes. The free assessment reviews your firewall posture: its policies, threat exposure and perimeter protection. You receive a clear summary of what is exposed, what is outdated and what we recommend, whether or not you work with us.
