Wi-Fi that covers every room and keeps guests isolated
Office Wi-Fi is often a few access points placed wherever there was an outlet. Some rooms drop out, guests share the staff network, and the same password stays in use for years.
What we configure, and what it prevents
| What we configure | What it prevents |
|---|---|
| Site survey before any access point is installed | Dead zones in exam rooms, boardrooms and back offices. |
| Access points placed and tuned from survey data | Slow Wi-Fi caused by overlapping or poorly placed access points. |
| Isolated staff, guest and patient networks (VLANs) | Visitors on the same network as your files and records. |
| Individual staff sign-in (802.1X) | A shared password that former staff still know. |
| Guest network with its own regularly rotated password | Past visitors still connecting to your Wi-Fi. |
What’s included
- Site surveys: predictive and on-site (Ekahau, AirMagnet)
- Coverage design: access-point placement, channels and power levels
- Network isolation: separate networks for staff, guests and patients
- Authentication: staff sign-in with 802.1X and device certificates
- Access control: Aruba ClearPass where it fits
- Validation: coverage measured after installation
How it’s delivered
- We survey your space, on site or from floor plans, to measure where coverage is needed.
- We plan access-point locations and networks, and review the coverage map with you.
- We install and tune the access points, then validate coverage room by room.
- We monitor the Wi-Fi as part of ongoing support and adjust it as your space changes.
Frequently asked questions
- Why do we need a site survey?
- Walls, glass, metal shelving and neighbouring networks all affect how Wi-Fi travels. A survey shows where access points belong, so you don’t pay for extra hardware or live with dead zones.
- Can guests use our Wi-Fi without reaching our systems?
- Yes. Guests get their own isolated network, separate from staff computers, printers and servers. They reach the internet and nothing else.
- What is 802.1X, and do we need it?
- It lets each staff member sign in to Wi-Fi with their own account or a device certificate, instead of a shared password. When someone leaves, their access ends with their account. Smaller offices may not need it; we tell you whether it’s worth it.
- Can you work with our existing access points?
- Often, yes, if the manufacturer still supports them. Our hands-on wireless experience is with Aruba, and we tell you plainly if your system is one we know well. If your access points are past end of life, we explain the risk and plan a replacement.
