Standardized workstations, and printing that works
New staff wait days for a working computer. Aging machines slow everyone down, and printers and scanners stop working whenever something changes on the network.
What we configure, and what it prevents
| What we configure | What it prevents |
|---|---|
| A standard build for every new computer | Machines configured differently, each with its own problems. |
| Computers prepared before new staff start | New hires idle while accounts and software are sorted out. |
| A replacement plan for aging machines | Slow, unsupported computers holding up the office. |
| Printers and scanners configured on the network | Printers disappearing from computers after updates. |
| Scan-to-email and scan-to-folder | Staff moving scanned files around on USB drives. |
| Patching and security baselines on each computer | Missed updates, and staff with full administrator rights. |

How it’s delivered

- We deploy, update and replace machines as part of ongoing support or per visit.
- We resolve printer and scanner issues remotely when possible, and on site when not.
Frequently asked questions
- Can you set up computers for new staff?
- Yes. Give us the start date, and we prepare the computer, accounts, email and printers so the new employee can start working on day one.
- When should we replace a computer?
- When it is too slow for the work, can’t run a supported version of Windows, or costs more in repairs and lost time than it’s worth. We maintain an inventory, so you can plan replacements ahead.
- Our scanner stopped sending to email. Can you fix it?
- Usually, yes. Scan-to-email often fails when an email provider tightens its security settings. We reconfigure it using a method your provider supports.
- What happens to an old computer when we replace it?
- We migrate the files and settings to the new machine, then wipe the old one before you recycle or reuse it, so your data doesn’t leave with it.
